Custom Aerospace Webbing Manufacturer — Engineered for Flight-Grade Performance

High strength • Low weight • FST-friendly options • Full

Why Choose Our Custom Aerospace Webbing

With 18+ years in webbing R&D and manufacturing, Szoneier builds aerospace-focused webbing that balances strength-to-weight, dimensional stability, and environmental resistance. We tailor yarn systems (aramid, FR polyester, UHMWPE, nylon), weaves, coatings, and identification to your program’s requirements—backed by lot traceability and batch QC. We support third-party FST and chemical compatibility testing as required by your specification.

Key Features of Aerospace Webbing

Flight-grade performance, documentation, and control—end to end.

High Strength-to-Weight

Aramid/UHMWPE options deliver up to 5–10 kN per 25 mm with minimal mass.

FST-Friendly Builds

Material/finish stacks designed to help meet common aircraft interior FST targets; third-party testing support on request.

Thermal Stability

Performs from −55 °C to +120 °C (stack-dependent) with low shrink and stable modulus.

Chemical Compatibility

Finishes/coatings available for hydraulic fluids (e.g., Skydrol-type), fuels, de-icers, and aviation cleaners.

Low Elongation & Creep

Predictable load paths for restraints, retainers, and interior assemblies; optional stiffness tuning.

ESD & Conductive Options

Integrate conductive tracer yarns/finishes to target surface resistivity for avionics/E&E bays.

Traceability & Identification

Woven part codes, color tracers, serialized labels, barcode/RFID; CoC + lot records supplied with each shipment.

Tight Tolerances & Edge Integrity

Width ±0.5 mm, thickness ±0.10–0.15 mm; heat-sealed/bound edges with anti-wick options for long service life.

Customization Options

Co-create new webbing constructions and motifs—purpose-built to your load, elongation, and environment specs.

Custom Designs

Work with our engineers to define loads, elongation, environment, interfaces, and compliance. We translate requirements into fiber systems, constructions, and tolerances, then deliver TDS, DFM guidance, traceability, and quick-turn samples.

Custom Colors

Match Federal Standard and Pantone precisely, or develop proprietary shades. Specify low-smoke, low-odor dyes, UV-stable options, and color tracer yarns for line coding, plus reflective or high-contrast prints for rapid identification.

Functional Finishes

Select FST-friendly FR, anti-wick barriers, UV/weathering upgrades, antimicrobial options, ESD control, and PTFE/PU chemical-resistant topcoats compatible with hydraulic fluids, fuels, de-icers, and common aviation cleaners.

Widths & Formats

Specify widths from 1/4” to 6” (to 100 mm on request) with thickness/GSM tuned to load and feel. Supply as continuous rolls or cut-to-length parts with tight tolerances.

Advanced Weaves

Choose plain, herringbone, tubular, double-layer, or jacquard constructions. Integrate woven IDs and color tracers, reinforce selvedges, and control modulus for interiors, UAV payloads, retainers, and lightweight rigging.

Edge Architecture

Heat-sealed, bound, or tape-bound edges resist fray and capillary wicking. Optional anti-slip emboss and soft backers improve handling, comfort, and dimensional stability under cyclic loads and temperature swings.

Pattern Recreation

Recreate legacy belts or webbings from samples or drawings. We match weave density, yarn types, stiffness curves, shade order, and identifiers, then deliver documented changes and first-article approvals.

Custom Pliability

Specify soft, medium, or firm handling. We calibrate stiffness, bend radius, recovery, and low-temperature flexibility so packaging, installation, and in-service ergonomics meet durability and performance targets.

Key Applications of Aerospace Webbing

From cabin interiors to UAV payloads, our aerospace webbing is engineered for predictable loads, low mass, and environmental resilience.

Our Custom Aerospace Webbing Production Process

We follow an engineered, test-driven workflow so every meter meets your strength, FST, chemical, and traceability targets—on time and to spec.

Step 1:

RFQ & DFM Review

Capture use case, loads/elongation, FST/ESD/chemical targets, width/thickness/tolerances, color/IDs, packaging. Deliverables: TDS, QC plan, timeline.

Step 2:

Material Selection

Select yarn system (Aramid / FR-Polyester / UHMWPE / Nylon-FR) and weave (plain/herringbone/tubular/jacquard) to hit strength-to-weight and dimensional goals.

Step 3:

Prototyping & Sampling

Lab dips, pilot weave, finish trials; integrate branding/IDs. Samples in 3–5 days with preliminary mechanical data on request.

Step 4:

Weaving & Heat-Set

Precision looms with SPC control; heat-setting stabilizes width, modulus, and shrinkage prior to finishing and slitting.

Step 5:

Finishing & Functional Treatments

Apply FR/FST-friendly, anti-wick, chemical-resistant (PTFE/PU), ESD, UV/weathering finishes. Verify cure and add-on weight for repeatability.

Step 6:

ID & Edge Engineering

Woven part codes, color tracers, serialized labels/barcode/RFID. Heat-sealed/bound edges; optional anti-slip emboss, punch/slot for hardware fit.

Step 7:

Quality Control & Validation

Each lot: tensile/elongation, abrasion, dimensions, colorfastness, finish adhesion; optional FST/chemical/ESD per plan. Deliverables: QC report, CoC, lot traceability, and AQL 2.5 pass/fail labeling.

Step 8:

Packaging & Dispatch

Clean packing with spec/lot labels, carton mapping; optional AS9102 FAI pack. Shipping by air/sea/express per schedule.

Everything You Need to Know About Our Aerospace Webbing

Get quick answers to the most common questions about materials, customization options, durability, applications, and order process.

Which fibers do you offer and how do I choose?

Aramid, FR polyester, UHMWPE, and FR-treated nylon. Pick by priority: strength-to-weight/heat (aramid), interior/FST + colorfastness (FR-poly), ultralight/low creep (UHMWPE), soft hand/energy absorption (nylon-FR).

We design FST-friendly stacks and coordinate third-party testing to your method/spec. Final compliance depends on the complete assembly and integrator validation.

We supply webbing to drawing and development samples. Certified occupant restraints/cargo systems require system-level certification by the integrator.

Optional PTFE/PU chemical-resistant finishes target compatibility with common aviation fluids. We can run compatibility tests per your plan and include results in the QC pack.

Yes. Conductive tracer yarns or finishes can be tuned to a target surface resistivity range. We’ll document the method and limits in your TDS.

Width 10–60 mm (up to 100 mm on request); thickness/GSM tuned to load. Typical tolerances: width ±0.5 mm, thickness ±0.10–0.15 mm. Rolls or cut-to-length parts available.

Depending on fiber: 3–10 kN per 25 mm, elongation 2–12% typical. Stack-dependent operating range about −55 °C to +120 °C; we’ll confirm per use case.

FR/FST-friendly, anti-wick, UV/weathering, ESD, and chemical-resistant topcoats. Hand/stiffness can be tuned; edges can be heat-sealed/bound to suppress fray and wicking.

QC report, CoC, lot traceability, woven/label IDs, and barcode/RFID options. AS9102 FAI package available on request; material declarations (e.g., REACH/RoHS) on request.

MOQ 500 m per spec/color. Samples 3–5 days; production 7–12 days after approval (shipping extra). We can align a test plan (FST/chemical/ESD/UV) to your program schedule.
